I am allergic to nicotine, and just breathing in second-hand smoke is enough to start my eyes tearing, my sinuses running, clogged up nasal passages, i.e. all the symptoms of hay fever. I am also a nurse - L.P.N. - so I know the damage it causes not only to the smoker, but to everyone around him in a 20 foot radius. Just because you can't smell it yet doesn't mean it's not there. There are enough chemicals, carcinogens, and outright poisons - yes, poisons, try arsenic and formaldehyde for starters - in the secondhand smoke alone to start cellular damage to your lungs and brain. For any smokers the best thing to do is to get on a smoking-cessation program right away, and for everyone else the best thing to do is to never start.

It shows a lack of intellect, apathy, selfishness, and negativity. I often am not friends with smokers and question why they live when they spend so much time escaping pain through gaining more.
Temporary bliss over solving your problems and longevity of life doesn't sound so smart to me. This is where some NOT all may use their incredibly stupid justifications like "you're going to die anyway". If you think that way than die now.
I'm sure no one will miss an absent minded fool that over states their inevitable death to justify their mistakes in life. I try not to hold it against everyone that does but, how stupid can a person be.

It's a habit that has been around since the beginning of time,in Native cultures it is an important part of their religion.I don't smoke because I think it is unhealthy, but I don't judge someone who does smoke, they will regret it later in life when they have health problems.

I think smoking is gross.
I think the issue is often intended to take our minds off the death and health issues that automobiles cause. So the automobile industry is a vested interest in getting smoking way out of proportion.
The economy seems dependent on twisting our minds and assimilating needs for things we don't need.
God, save us!

I really hate smoking. Every time my dad smokes in the living room where I'm always there, I walk out immediately.

I think smoking is just a wide open invitation to cancer, lung diseases, etc...
Fortunately, I took a health class that showed me how smoking affects our environment, those who smoke, and those who don't too.
Smokers have to realize the dangers they are putting not only themselves but their peers and surroundings in too.

Smoking has no advantages ,but only disadvantages . the person who`s smoking is considered not be at his/her mental peace. either this is the thing or that person has bad habit of it . he is obiviously knowing that it is injurious to his health but some circumstances don`t make him leave smoking . it is done only when he serious to leave it or someone forces him/her to do so .

Smoking is gross. I mean, I dunt get why people smoke. It's like asking to die earlier. Besides, if humans were meant to smoke, they wuld hev a chimney on their head.
