You can't be TRUE best friends with the opposite sex, and not be lovers. But you CAN be friends. I say this because when you find the right person for you, isn't that person suppose to be your best friend, your best everything? If so, then anyone else can only be second best in the friend catagory. Otherwise, you'll be more close to your friend than your lover. Which means your relationship and connection with your lover isn't very strong or as real and connected as your relationship with your other friend.
You can only do this if your single, and even still, that best friendship isn't going to last because you will find a lover. And a TRUE best friend lasts for a very long time, or forever. So, for people who say they have a few best friends, those friendships aren't true best friends if they don't last. Real friends last till the end I think. Which is pretty much what a true lover is.

Yes its possible and really nice if you are fortunate to have one you both benefit from viewing the opposite concerns and questions and opinions on things he or she can be attracted to you without pursuing a boyfriend /girlfriend relationship easily its called making a decision some people make better friends than lovers there is nothing wrong with being attracted to each other the problem comes in when you begin to per sue those feelings and the circumstances have everything to do with the relationship be it just friends or a serious relationship it all depends on the circumstances but it is totally possible and healthy for opp site sex's to be best friends it does have its advantages.

I would think so. I have a best friend and she is a lady and we laugh and talk and have a good time. There is no love involved as per se although we love each other as friends. Of course friends can be attracted to each other but can still be best of friends if this is what they want. Don't read something into a relationship if it is not there to begin with. Don't assume anything without checking it out first. I think you should just let things alone for now and enjoy your friend and if it leads to something else then act accordingly as to how you feel.

Two questions for point of one answer. Any way.
Friendship is the first step of attraction. Best friend may be proved best lovers as well. Attraction is not towards friendship, but towards opposite sex. So attraction towards best friend is natural.
Some friends value more to friendship than sex and its possible to be friend with opposite sex.

I have several best friends who are males. I am a girl, by the way. The guys get along with me great. And a couple of them have told me they are attracted to me. So yes, it's completely possible.

yes it is possible iv had about 4 girl friends 2 i was attracted to the other 2 i wasnt its normally up to the girl where it goes though so dont worry if its u whos attracted cos the man normally is too good luck
