The mathematical probability created by Stephen Hawking is so far out there it does seem impossible. He eludes to a slim chance in some of his books however. I know little of physics, his books make it very interesting, worth checking out; Theory of Everything, Brief History of Time.

Well I did a little research on this and I dont remember who it was but I think it was newton did some work on this when he was alive. You cannot go into something that has yet to happen, for it has not happened. There is no source or all knowing being (unless you are christian, and then you probably don't believe in time travel anyway) that can hold all that will ever happen in the future. It is unknown. Therefore, if timetravel was somehow invented, you would only be able to go backward.
Doing so however, could alter the present. For instance, you may just fall in love with some one and it could be a grandmother. That could seriously alter DNA. Even doing to slightest thing could alter some one's decision to do or not do something that changes everything in your present world. In my opinion, if a worm hole (as newton describes it) opens for us to travel back in time, I would not recommend going.

That question tickles my mind for a long time..
As Einstein's theory of relativity says, any object that flies in the speed of light is aging much slower than an object here on earth.
Lets say if we send a person to space and launch his spaceship in the speed of light, lets say - for 5 years, this person himself will age in only 5 years, but we, people on earth, well, actually the earth itself, will age in something like 1 million years..
You see, the meaning is that when an object (or a human being) travels in the speed of light, time decelerates for him/it, and accelerates for as, people on earth..
I cannot explain why.. this you have to find out yourself, or read about it on the internet!
:) Hope I could help you a bit.
Chau!

Mentally I can travel anyplace I like. Physically time travel is not possible. Nor will it ever be. Trust me I'm from the future.

No it is not possible.
Any time travel would be known throughout time and we would encounter it often!

Not yet.
And, I wouldn't hold my breath for a scientific break through any time soon in this area.
