No. Asking for help is being responsible for yourself and your personal development. No one knows everything. Most people will be glad to help if and when they can.
Unfortunately some people consider it a weakness to ask for help. They are only getting in their own way.

ONLY if it is monetary help.
I am a very independent woman, I do my own plumbing, gardening, appliance repair, car maintenance upkeep, etc. but being the only breadwinner is tough sometimes and I do have trouble asking for handouts. ( I never have had to ask though) My friends and family are very giving without asking.

Yes sometimes asking for help means that others will abandon you or get mad at you. I didn't ask for help when I was being repeatedly molested as a child...this was a big mistake. Now I am more inclined to put my ego aside and go ahead and ask for help.
