I can't judge every man, and this statement should resound in the ears of those that have committed no crime, or believes in dignifying the armed forces of nations. It is the lowest means of service that any man can fall upon, enlisting to murder others in the name on nationalism, but forgetting the similarity and close history, resemblence of the species as a whole, "the Human species". To work at the direction of greedy governments who trive and depend to keep the population distracted in the maintaining of a war economy, thereby continually creating new ones at the expence of the similar and uniform civilians of every nation that seeks peace. As long as the military exists, there exists wars and feuds between men, though they might always exist, the military is a mass productive method in performing massacres. All civilians of ever nation are similar and they have no ill to each other, therefore there is no justification of state militaries attacking foreign civilians, it is a crime.

If militaries are disbanded, the industrial productive means of murder will come to an end. Any way to speak the truth, for the majority only the unfit and dumb enter the military, those that were not fit and could find no other professions within society but work with false facts given by governments to attack and kill foreign civilians.

This is an interesting thesis. I agree that if the Military of the world could be disbanded then we could live in peace. Unfortunately this is not a possibility. We have to maintain a military because the other guys will not disband. I am proud of the service I gave to my country. I was not nor am I unfit for society. I chose to enlist and serve. I learned more in those years of service than I ever could have in a college. Real things like how to get along with everyone regardless of race, color, creed, religion or what have you. How to be a Patriot and love my country despite the obvious flaws. For someone to call that service vulgar is a slap in the face. I am sorry that you are a coward and could not get over yourself long enough to be willing to make the sacrifice that allows you to make the comments you have made. The fact that you can say the things that you say is because of those vulgar bloodied soldiers you so easily disrespect. It is you who is unfit for society and unworthy of the air that I am forced to share with you.

John Lennon laid out the recipe for peace in "Imagine". As long as there are humans on the planet, there will NEVER be peace. There are atrocities performed all over the world by NON Military groups who don't care about anything except their own agenda. A world without authority, weather military, police, or Mom and Dad would be an infinitely worse place to live in

I totally agree with Mickey. I would also add this... At the end of the day, humans are a social and territorial species. We like to nest, and we need our own territory or space. We need our friends and family and a sense of belonging. We are also instinctively protective of those things. Until we can change human nature, wars and fighting will continue, whether or not we have a military behind it.

The men and women in any branch of any armed force, if first and foremost a Defensive body, not an offensive one. Nearly any one within the armed forces will tell you that they hate war and despise killing. But they will defend their families, their country, their God and their corps with every breath they have. What has happened is that the govt has forgotten the real purpose of this war- which is to capture Osama binLadin and bring him to justice for his crimes against the innocent citizens that dies on 9/11/01. This should never have erupted into a war on Iraq's soil. That angers me... angers most in the US AF. They just want to come home.

I disagree....

First of all, your ignorance of today's military, specifically the US military is appalling. You see what you WANT to see and ignore the plain and simple truths. Militaries are nothing more than the extension of the national government. The military not only fights war but responds to national emergencies such as natural disasters and man made disasters.

Second, not all of us are "killers". My position is as the Civil Military Operations Officer. I REBUILD countries. I HEAL people. I SUPPORT the local government and help stabilize it for the people. We work with the local government to ensure the people are represented and get what they need from their own government as well as support from ours.

You need to learn of what you speak BEFORE you speak.

If countries do not maintain armed forces then the world will be ruled by one superpower because it will not give up it's military might, do you want that to happen.
