Kallis. Like Freddie said Kallis is known for playing more orthodox. Yes I agree he is better than Flintoff in all areas. I would like to make the point that Kallis is a rock in the South African side. Coming in at 3 he often has to go in early because of SAs poor opening partnerships. He cements his position and he always gets runs.

I think Kallis is better than Freddie in both forms of the game,

however, these are the current rankings(obviously based more on current form and as the saying goes, class is permanent and form is temporary, if you compare their averages from the link above the only area Freddy is better than Kallis is in ODI bowling):

Test rankings:
1 J. Kallis SA
2 A. Flintoff ENG
3 D. Vettori NZ
4 S. Pollock SA
5 I. Pathan IND

ODI rankings
1 S. Pollock SA
2 C. Gayle WI
3 S. Jayasuriya SL
4 A. Flintoff ENG
5 A. Symonds AUS
6 J. Kallis SA

Although looking at these a case could be made for Shaun Pollock to be the best all rounder in the game!!!

Kallis is the best all rounder in the game as of today. He is much better than any, leave alone Freddy. He has been consistent, both in batting as well as bowling for a long long time. He is a good fielder as well.

Prestonian Freddy is better overall than Kallis. Freddys form has dropped this year because the strain of captaincy and managing underperformers. Give captaincy to Strauss and let Freddy hit peak of his career.

Kallis is a better player/alrounder than Flintoff. Flintoff is known for his exuberant style of batting with unorthodox shots. Whereas, Kallis is a technician and he has all the shots in his armoury. Kallis is the leading alrounder for years now. Flintoff bowls better than Kallis, at present.

yes i dont think anyone could dispute that...flintoff had a good ashes 05 series and was playing as good as anyone at that time but kallis has been consistantly one of the best batsmen/allrounders for quite a while now... fred could wish he will end up with a career like kallis will have....

That was 06 and not 05 and 07 is round the corner.
Freddy should have taken himself out of selection,he is still not fit
Still it is not on to compare a batsman with an all rounder
Mcgrath js the best along with Warne, and they have both now retired!
So start looking again
