You missed the hey day of dance music in Texas by about five years. The scene is practically dead, your best bet would be to find a rave if you want to listen to EDM. Check out the Texas Rave Discussion group at

There are occassional listings for club events but consist mostly of local DJs, which isn't a bad thing. Support your local DJs. :)

You can also try joing the Texas Rave mailing list. I don't know if it's still active though. People probably post events every now and then though.
