Why do people think they have the nerve to ask a college grad's income and demand they find a certain type of job, never mind the person who always asks is always the person who does not have a job himself or has accomplished anything big in their own life.

Re jealous: These folks could have worked their way through school like I did and sacrificed buying new clothes and so on in order to pay rent and tuition. I don't feel sorry for jealous folks.

Re hateful: These folks have usually experienced a college grad being snobby towards them, despite that person exhibiting less than stellar knowledge and work experience.

Or, maybe they have been passed over for promotion at work because they don't have a college degree, and the person who did get promoted is clearly not as knowledgeable despite having a degree.

Think of all the down and outers who look for a high paying job or a promotion.. and see the pre-requisites require a degree in this.. or a certificate in that?!

How many down and outers feel ripped off by doctors and lawyers and other licensed professionals?

This would in itself cause animosity towards the educated, certified, licensed, over paid brainiacs.

How many college students are truthfully arrogant, self centered, braggarts destined for lucrative jobs that pay handsomely?

And don't for one moment think that everyone should seek higher education. Our educated society disdains the thought of everyone walking around with PhDs like they were passed out as though they were candy.

If everyone were a brain surgeon, corporate lawyer, scientist, high finance officer it would be bizarre to say the least.

Economists would tell you it is down right unrecommended or most definitely not feasible.

Jeolousy is very bad. The main reason is probably because they did not have the ability to go to college themselves and through their jeolousy figure they have the right to tell you how to take full advantage of your education. I understand that it is frustrating to not have the ability to go to college (there are several different reasons for this) but that does not give the right for someone to tell you how to use your college experience. Next time change the subject to why they didn't go to or finish college. Then you may understand better why they want to be where your at and believe they know the best road for you to take. The only advice I can give you is to be grateful for your ability to finish college and be open to the possibility that others wanted what you have but for reasons beyond your understanding was not able to get it like you were.
