I've travelled, too. The Outback in Australia gave me the chance to taste the white root grubs growing underground, eaten by the aborigines. Glad they like em. Kangaroo tastes like chewy chicken, not bad in meat pie. Crocodile is a little "fishy" tasting and a bit chewy, too. I actually liked elk, ostrich and buffalo in the Rockies. And reindeer, roasted with gravy in Bergen, Norway, was very good.

I've done some traveling, so I have had some weird stuff.
Octopus (sushi), squid (jerky), buffalo (patty), ostrich (steak), dolphin (steak), shark (soup), croc. (steak and jerky), snake (cooked), rat (on a stick), dog (it was served with veggies), scorpion (on a stick 3 for 5 yuan in the silk market that is in Beijing- 3rd or 4th ring road if I believe, but what do I know, I'm from Wisconsin). How is that for weird? Yet, I still won't try french fries dipped in a chocolate shake.

Raw baby octopus sushi - complete with beaks, heads, and tentacles...
Was interesting.
Oh - and maybe raw lamb... tasted great, great texture, is was some sort of Greek or Roman food at a restaurant...
And then there was the dead bunny rabbit... but that was more funny than weird...

Possum, pig brains, pickled pigs feet, head cheese. The pig brains were the worst.
