If it is 12:30 in Pacific Standard time, it is 2:30 in Chicago.
Chicago is in the Central Standard Time zone, which is two hours "ahead" of PST. Between the two time zones is Mountain Standard time, where it would be an hour "ahead" of Pacific time as well
