fairly natural colours suit green eyes so stick to your browns. sometimes green too. purple can be nice, just not too bright!
eyeliner is easy, just practice, is it liquid or pencil? start with pencil, its easier and doesnt get as messy!
just close one eye.if you cant, hold it down with one hand. apply the eyeliner starting from the outer corner of your eye and draw a line to the iner corner. for a softer look, going half way from the outer and not very dark can look nice too

According to MAC cosmetics, PURPLE eyeshadow suits green eyes. You can apply eyeliner on your top eye lid with carefully following the curve of your eye, without shaking your hand, get as close to the edge of your eye lid as possible. You can do the same for the bottom lid. Practice makes perfect. Have a bottle of eye make up remover near you if it doesn't look good and try again. Also, less if more. So do not over do it with a thick black outline of your eye. Also, use brown eyeliner or black, depending on the type of affect you want to get. Good Luck!!!

Lavender or pink will contrast with the green and bring it out. If you're going for a more natural look, try a reddish-brown. Cool colors like blue will make your eye color look washed-out.
To apply eyeliner, you just need to practice. It takes a while to get it right. If you're using a pencil, you may want to heat the tip next to something warm to make it softer (a lightbulb, for example--just be careful not to smear makeup all over it).

Having green eyes myself, I have to say brown works the best. Navy makes them look more blue and green makes them stand out. With your eyeliner, make sure that you smudge it into your lashes. It shouldn't be too noticable.

A light and dark green colour suits me the most! or a verry dark blue and golden.
Hope it helps you!
P.S.: But never try pink or red! It looks horrilbe on me!
