Yes, very interesting question. I have a lilac bush in our yard that is almost empty of leavesfor the winter, yet there are new buds appearing and you can see the purple of the flower beginning to show. We have had several "flurries" but no accumulation of snow. Just rain. How's that for strange......?

Yes, freezing here in the Bay Area of California. Dropped down to the 20's here for a couple of nights. The west coast, Washington and Oregon has been hit pretty hard with winter weather. I understand New Mexico, Colorado has been hit hard too. I don't know if I am a believer of the global warming as much as I am that the weather pattern is changing. I understand Switzerland has green grass and flowers blooming instead of snow. But places that normally don't get snow have it. So go figure.

I live in SE Wisconsin It has been raining here for days. Is is gloomy, and just above freezing. It sucks. I am so not in the Christmas mood because of the weather. We had a big snow on Dec 1 but it is all gone. I don't remember the last white Christmas.

Here in Australia the weather has been rather variable. One day it is 37°C and then down to 19°C. It is normally hot summer in Australia at Christmas time. There was also a freak hail storm near Armidale early this week which was unusual.

Global warming. I like it. Snow means cold, which means high utility bills. Around here it usually snows enough that it has to be shoveled.
You don't have to shovel rain. Most people don't slip and fall on rain.
I live in SW Pennsylvania. I am looking for the day when palm trees will grow on our river banks.

Yes, here in L.A. it seems to be a lot colder this holiday season and yes I noticed the same freaky thing about our lilac bushes too. Another thing I noticed is that L.A.'s humidity is increasing each year. We used to have dry heat which was comfortable even when it was hot. Now the summers feel like Toronto, St. Louis and New Orleans and I'm wanting to move to Arizona or New Mexico where I can tolerate the heat better than the humidity.

Yes i live in the Netherland and normaly it is cold (between -5 and 3 degrees celcius) this time of year, but this year it's a round 10 to 15 celsius. I can still walk a round with out a coat, it looks like early fall or spring but defently not like winter.

Yeah i sure did. I live in Dubai and this year it rained like never before. Though we generally have winter rains over here, but those are like a few drizzles once in a while. But this time we had heavy showers and water puddles every where and the winter temperature sure dropped below normal.

We had one good snow in IL, but yes it is raining plenty. I hear it's something to do with Global Warming, speaking on why everyone seems to be bringing it up very often on talk shows and the like.

Here in the Philippines we have only two seasons - wet and dry. lt's supposed to be a cold December for us (doesn't snow here) but what we get are storms and sometimes not-so-hot days.
According to the news, the El Nino phenomenon is the culprit.
