I basically lost my grandson who could of been 3 in the present day and that i could supply something to have him right here appearing infantile, I say enable him be a newborn, 8 years previous isn't an grownup, he remains a newborn and boys are noisy and get into mischief be happy he's healthful and love him with all your coronary heart. You never comprehend what the next day brings.

You cannot get an adult to do anything unless they want to! At this point, you can try to explain your feelings clearly. The main thing is to not make the person feel defensive or they will miss the whole point of the discussion. Use 'I' and 'when you do ___, I feel ___. Don't use 'what you need to do is ____', never works.

Probably the only way is to slap the crap out of them...treat them more like a child and tell them if they want to be treated like an adult, then act like one, otherwise talk to them like a child.

punish them like a child. treat them like a child 24/7. if they're gonna act like it, they'll deserve it. and they'll get sick of the treatment quick.
