None so far who answered this know much about computer viruses,

Computer viruses are written for certain operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, or Apple Mac OSX 10 Tiger. And the viruses will only run under that operating system.

which can help explain why people keep stating the Macs dont have as many viruses, its because not as many people use macs and the "virus writers" dont think it is worth writting a virus that will only infect a small amount of people.

Another way to explain:
This is pretend:
So theres this game called Virus for the Xbox 360, you hate that game, but it always shows up around your Wii, you dont want this game to play on your Wii at all. for it is a very, very, bad game.

Well, you know that Xbox 360 games will only work on the Xbox 360 System, and not your Nintendo Wii. So you dont have to worry about that "bad" game playing on your system.

Ok,, that was pretty darn cheesy.. but i hope it helped express the fact that the Wii can only get Wii Viruses, Viruses specifically written for a Wii, and as of today, I have my serious doubts that you will catch one. did you know that the PSP (Play station portable) Sufs the web, and in all of its history (2.5years) of being out, there has only been 3 known viruses? and these viruses actually ASKED you to install, they werent those sneaky ones. So again, i wouldnt be too worried.

Off topic:

How are ya likin your Wii? do you think it is worth the money? or is it just fun for a few minutes a day or so?

i hope my answer helped
