There is a new movement that asks artists to make a piece of art everyday for one year. After that year, you look back and see if there are any patterns visible or any ideas that come that are of use. If your book doesnt' have enough pages for a year, then maybe you could do it for once a week or another type of increment.

The most scariest thing about drawing is looking at a blank page.
You can get past this by starting a doodle anywhere on the page.
It will work best for you if your mind is on something else such as
drawing while you are listening to a movie you have already seen,
or talking on the phone or anything to let your mind wonder and relax rather than forcing yourself to draw.
Try starting a few pages into your book so you will feel less conscious of the quality of your drawing.
You must relax and let your mind take over and you will be surprised.
You have a wonderful mind that you can completely trust with many things.
Relax don't worry and begin, You will do well!

Make it a creative journal and scrapbook. Write your ideas, experiences, what's going on in your life, how you feel about it . Paste in souvenirs, mementos, movie tickets. It can be a book version of the movie of your life now. Years from now you could find it quite interesting and meaningful. Include sketches now and then, too. Try to write something every day. Each entry, which I would date, does not have to be long. Write it for yourself in the future. So it can become a "time-capsule" or "my letter to the future me."

Blank pages are interesting, they can be terrifying or invigorating. Use the book to learn to express yourself to the best of your ability, You can sketch, write a short story, poem, diary, scribble in anger, write a song. You Will get in touch with your inner self and become a better person for it.

Make it into a fictional story/diary with sketches in it. It can be like the personal diary of the main character. I did that in high school and it turned out really well.

Write your dreams down right after you've woken up. It's a pretty interesting experience when you read back through.

you could decorate each page or certain pages with cute stenciling and add stickers to make each page uniquely individual.
