Bill Gates doesnt work for Gateway, he works for Microsoft.
E-mails to him typically never reach him, he has a dedicated staff member whose job it is to filter through his mail, most of which is deleted and not given a response. You dont actually think the richest man in the world would sit and read e-mails all day from people wanting free money and everyone trying to sell him viagra. If you really care, his e-mail address is bgates@microsoft.com, though I'm willing to bet that he never uses it anymore since it being widely known for the last ten years.
I would recomend posting your issue on here and I'm sure someone can give you some helpful advice.

If you have proof that you contacted them, and have been doing so...I would suggest takin the time to sue them in Small Claims court. Also, report them to the Better Business Bureau.
But after they hear that they are being sued, they will most likely do something to fix the problem. But if not...you still should have a won case.
But I do not have Bill's email address....so sorry. But the problem is not his, but the company that sold you the computer. So take it up with them. And if worst comes to worse, take it to the store you bought it from and ***** to their head manager about it. Tell them they sold you a faulty product with a faulty warranty.

I think Gateway is in the middle of a re-org, and E-Machines has purchased most of its retail and service business....
The service you get from just about every manufacturer is bogus at best, except Lenovo (ex IBM PC and Laptop), which still provides the best customer service in the computer industry.
Try http://www.majorgeeks.com/ when you need help. They are the best of the best in user contributed online support. (IMHO)

if you ask about what is wrong with the computer, someone may answer it,
just stopped working :
could be the power supply,
the cat unplugged the wire,
does it have any mesages?
will it light up at all?
did you take a second to try it on another power plug?
did one of the wires come loose?
is it making any beeping sounds?
did you spill water on it?
