What aspect of sociology are you most interested in applying to daily life?

Sociology is the study of people in groups, and you probably have noticed that people you know act differently when they are one-on-one versus when they are even in small groups. Perhaps you've had trouble breaking into a tight group of friends but when you deal with each person individually, you get better results.

Or maybe you've tried to get a crowd of people to react a certain way. For example, if you were a DJ or a musician, you want to liven up a party and get the crowd to participate and have fun, so you might call out to them, "Is everybody having fun?! I can't hear you!" and try to get them more animated. That is not much different from how a politician might try to get an audience of voters on his side, by getting them all riled up and involved.

Think about the times you interact with people in groups and you will probably be able to see parallels with sociology.

How about this case:
a teacher was always trying to be seen by all the others (colleagues) as a thorough professional. Yet she would criticize and fault the professional decisions and behaviors of other truly great teachers to principals behind their backs. One-on-one with some she had criticized she revealed her true nature with nasty names about the students in general, like, "They're so stupid!" That's sociology, from several angles.
