Many issues here, Raven. First, Mamma and Poppa are parents for life...not just for the duration of the marriage. Kids are going to want to know their parents, want to have some kind of relationship..and the parents should not use the kids to attack each other. If the father gets custody it's usually because mom doesn't want it or it can be shown to the court that mom is unfit. That doesn't mean she stops being mom. For the sake of the kids, an effort should be made to keep mom in the loop. However, if mom is a complete bum, or has left town, then dad has to do the best he can. Nothing wrong with a new mom coming into the picture...but it's always confusing to the kids and has to be handled gently. Good luck with this one.

If the mother is a drug addict, criminal, insane, etc., then yes. Otherwise, it's difficult for a man to get full custody, and even then he'd have to allow regular visitation.

When you have kids with someone, you are usually tied to them for life.

There are many such men in this world. What is it that you want to ask?
