I have an Irish friend living there. They like the mild climate (the summers can be a bit TOO hot though) and slower pace of life generally. They dislike the corruption and general slovenliness endemic in the government and civil service. They positively HATE the despicable way animals- people's own "pets" included - are treated!

Cyprus is a great place to live. It is safe and pleasant. Very family oriented with decent schools. If you have a well paying job its very good as it is not the cheapest place around. Cyprus is a conservative country that needs work in several areas. Like someone else said its a big village and that has its plusses and minuses.

I used to work there if that qualifies?
By far the safest place I have ever been. Its just like a large village, nobody locks their cars, people are very friendly an the climate is exellent.
Not the cheapest of places to go but the quality of life is fantastic.
Plenty of things to do, loads of history and museums, some good clubs, good diving esp. the Zenobia No 7. in the top ten World wreck dives. Could dive it every day an never get bored, the Russian tourist subs a pain in the butt though.

My son is Cypriot and I have travelled to the island for 25 years ...It has become very westernised in the tourist areas nd more expensive from when I was there ! However if you keep to the inner parts of cyprus you will experience the REAL Cyprus .
The Island is agreat place to live ..my son intends to return there to live with his father in Paphos and my youngest wants to go there too . We sometimes go there for the Christmas ....a great choice ...well done .

Yes my Auntie. Cant think of a better place actually, although I am bias because I lived there when my dad was in the RAF. I have been back about 20 times since!

She lives just outside Paphos.

Cyprus is a fantastic island with great people, lovely climate where you can Ski in the winter and swim in the sea the same day! It will be even better when the Turks move off and go home!

A beautiful place. The land of my birth (I was born in Limassol).

Fantastic climate, fantastic people, beautiful and historic places. The island oozes beauty.

Go and see for yourself. I wish I had stayed there and never come to England.
