does anyone know if i can have a pet pig in L.A. and if so where can i get one? and if not, why not?

As a pig mom, I would say probably not. Most large cities still classify them as swine. The best site is www.pigs4ever.com.
They have a zoning section. Check there to be sure. IF you decide to get a pig, let me know.. I can tell you everything you need to know about them.

no last i knew you could not have one in L.A but to be safe just call the local Animal control. they are classified as farm animals in some cities must be kept out side city limits and with proper room to roam.
