They will not harm your baby. The heartburn is what will get ya!!
I got it from everything when I was pregnant, and I didn't want to irritate it even more with spicy foods!!
However if you do, your baby will be fine. Enjoy it as well as you can!

I ate spicy food (Mexican, Thai, Indian) all through my first pregnancy, and while breast feeding (until 13 months). Now at 15 months old my daughter loves spicy food. Coincidence? Maybe? Maybe not. I am pregnant with the second now... We shall see...

SOME TERRIBLE HEARTBURN! I love Mexican food but i've had to give it up for the next few months. Sometimes I have heartburn so bad I have to sleep with 3 or 4 pillows behind me. It's terrible, but you can take TUMS or Mylanta!

It won't do anything to the fetus. But it could give the mother heartburn, indigestion, and bloating from gas.

generally, nothing. though they can make morning sickness a little more uncomfortable. also, most women i know that ate such foods while pregnant ended up having to have their gall bladders removed in the first year after the baby's birth.

They don't harm your baby. They give you heartburn which can be very uncomfortable for you. It is worse when the baby is pushing against your diaphragm too.

They're not harmful, per say, but can cause extra heartburn-- which is very common and unpleasant during pregnancy.
