What was the most scary dream you had that you woke up from and it seemed to dominate your thinking for a while? It made you think, and you couldn't shake it, like it had importance?

I had a dream , without going into detail...at some point Aliens were invading, in tripod fighting machines (war of the worlds) so much happened vividly and in strange but beleivable ways. I needed to write it all down. havn't finished. that was half a year ago, a few days before I broke my right arm. The writting of this dream held me so much that I wrote most of it in scribble with my left hand during this time.

Then I drew this awsom war of the worlds tripod with my left hand. It was amazing! I never drew anything that good with my left hand! Even with my right hand I fing those tripods to be extremely hard to draw effectively!

The most disturbing dream that I had was that I was in a supermarket, wandered into the back and found some horrible, monstrous things going on that apparently was part of how they made some of the products (I'd rather not go into detail), while a girl I knew from high school dressed in an employee's uniform with the most bored look on her face.

I walked around the store looking at all the shiny, colourful things on the shelves, and I still wanted to buy them.

I woke up feeling pretty creeped out, needless to say.

Here's one that wakes me up scared, shaken...and thinking all the following day long. I've had this same type dream occaisionally for several years:

I'm dressed up nice in a neat, white business vested suit w/ a sharp nice black full length tie. It's a cool beautiful blue sky fall day and I'm standing in a field, watching this helicopter just ahead, evidently having trouble staying in the air.

In each dream, I'm feeling showered with fear, but am unable to flinch or make a move---helpless to stare wide eyed at this unfolding sight.

Just a couple hundred yards or so away from me, the helicopter crashes violently, sending chunks of metal debris flying inches by me.....but I'm not harmed and NOT one smidgen of dust or dirt rests on my suit.

Moments afterwards, I'm suddenly allowed to walk. I warily approach the wreck site, knowing there are NO survivors....and then....I awaken.

In each instance, I'm shaken scared. I've never sought a dream interpetation of this event.

I had a Stephen King dream once. I was watching a dvd extra in the dream about him and he was talking about some movies he'd done. One was about a guy with goat horns on his head that would kill people with a hammer. The other was about a monkey/ baboon thing. That wasn't what scared me though, I ran out of my house to get away from the monkey and ran to the front yard. The front yard was completely covered in blood. I ran forward and slipped in it sliding forward til I hit the gate. It was raining really hard, it was night and there was a bright street light glaring down at me. It wasn't pleasant.
