Earthquakes aren't linked to any particular weather because they occur miles below the surface where they are not affected by weather.

Our own 1906 earthquake was on April 18 (springtime) and our earthquake of 1989 (Loma Prieta) was on October 17, in the fall.

The deadliest earthquake on record occured in Shanxi province, China on January 23, 1556 (830,000 dead) and that was bang in the winter time. Same as the Banda Aceh earthquake of 12/26/2004 of magnitude 9.3

There is the rumored concept of earthquake weather, though, that does get around, so you're not silly to ask. Good for you for asking!

Earthquakes aren't influenced by seasons, time of day, or anything else that happens at the surface. The last three earthquakes here (there's been a 3rd once since you posted this) were centered 9.0, 10.0, and 9.8 km below the Earth's surface. Earthquakes are caused by the movement of technoic plates, which are insulated from surface weather by miles of rock.

Earthquakes can happen anytime. I grew up in San Jose and never knew when to expect them. Look up plate techtonics in the encyclopedia and you may learn a bit about faults and why you can't really know by personal expections how to predict earthquakes.

Earthquakes are not caused or influenced by seasons. They originate deep in the ground and weather conditions have no influence.

Earthquakes can happen anytime of the year. Just as tornadoes can touch down at night. (When I was little, I thought that they hit only in the daytime.)
