Why does music these days suck?

I don't get why people like this crap thats coming out lately. It really pisses me off. What happened to people like Jimi Hendrix, and rock groups like led zeppelin and the beatles? I have a feeling music will only go down hill from here and its really makin me mad.

Since the beginning of music there have been people making mediocre music; the current era is not particularly bad. It is only the great ones that we remember. If there is a difference between the late-sixties and early-seventies and today it is that today the great bands do not have the same popularity as they did then. There are great bands out there, you just have to look for them.
