Yes. Someone got hold of a long-discarded book of checks from an account I hadn't used in over 2 years and wrote checks on it. Crazy stuff, too -- three checks to Wal-Mart for more than $200 each, a liquor store for more than $150, and a grocery store for about $150. Got me dragged into criminal court on potential felony charges. Fortunately for me none of the merchants ever bothered to check ID when they took the checks and the judge threw the case out. What's really crazy is that Wal-Mart should never have taken the check to begin with, since I myself had had a bad check with them once.
