You should be able to, but performance may be too slow for it to work properly.

I don't understand your question. If you mean to host webpages on a server using the disk you have mentioned you can do it. 500GB is more that enough to host a medium to large sized corporate webpage. However, be sure to have a top-notch server that can match your disk to host your site.

You could have the data for the site on that drive (web pages, databases, etc.) but you'd need a server for the web server itself.

a website can be used from any place which a domain can be pointed to via ip. This means that as long as you can link the hard drive to a exsternal ip address (not intranet ip ie 10.1.1.1) it can be hosted
