Why should the US feel more responsible for the well being of illegal immigrants? Why not Mexico?

You raise a good point. Mexico often attacks American immigration policies yet if you are from South America and you sneak into Mexico they throw you in jail if you are caught. Also, Americans living in Mexico are often forced to return in order to get their visa's restamped and face many legal restrictions on owning property. But the reality is that we are all people and I think as a nation, we should lead by example and be proud of how we treat all of our citizens no matter where they are from originally!

The government of Mexico doesn't care for it's people. That's why they are coming over here. Most of them....the thugs are here for money, whether by theft or drugs (kinda like some of our own people huh?). The US was founded as a nation of immigrants. After the founding fathers stole everything from the Native Americans, laws were eventually set up to establish citizenship because we were getting too big. Hence the term 'illegal'. Get your papers. Get an ID. Get taxed like everyone else. That's what it's all about.
But in all, we are compassionate. The Mexican government is not. Our big corportations that move to Mexico are not. All they care about are profits. If they were improving the quality of life, there wouldn't be as many folks trying to cross the border.
I don't care if someone comes over here. But do it legally. And if you screw up, you go back...and if you get caught over here again, you ain't seen anymore.
I'm speaking in the here and now. You can't say, "well you go back home". My European ancestors are long dead. Also, I can't split my DNA....I am part Native American.

Why not for our own people. We need not worry about illegals if our leaders cared about americans and our laws. Punish employers, mostly republicans, who illegally hire illegals, pocket the taxes, don't hire americans so they will make even bigger profits, and then support Bush who wants to have open borders with Mexico and Canada to further rape American jobs.
