I find that people answer vaguely to even clear questions!
If you want to be fair and honest, you should give deep thought to any question and then give an answer. If a question is vague, then the asker is inviting trouble since even those who are serious in giving answers, would not be able to do so clearly. This leaves the rest - the non-serious answerers - to answer as they are wont to do, namely vaguely.
What is galling is the vague answers given even to questions that are well-phrased, and asking for clear opinions. Such answers annoy the askers more than anything else on YA.

it's just easier to come up with a vague answer. I'm answering this question because it doesn't make me think a lot and I'm not going to look stupid if I say something wrong.... hey, aren't you asking a vague question anyway? lol.

Beacuse it's easy whatever you answer with you give can't be wrong because they didn't give you enough info to start with.
