They avoid eye contact, will look down when they talk, if they make eye contact with you while walking past you their eyes will quickly dart to the ground, they may blush when they are spoken to or when they are answering you, they will be very soft-spoken, will sometimes sink their head in their shoulders when they are given a compliment or when they want to shy away. They listen more than they speak. Sometimes they will smile A LOT when someone talks to them, or they will look downwards and smile.

Usually shy people WANT to talk and join in, but they encounter some kind of internal blockage that prevents them from doing so. They are very concerned with how others view them, are usually comparing themselves to others and do not want to be rejected. All of this is typically due to a low self-concept. Normally shyness is a defense mechanism people use so they don't get hurt.

So, if they do talk, it may be brief and quick as they are testing the waters to see how others will react to them. As they become more comfortable, they will open up more. They are usually very deep people whose emotions run deep. They're also very compassionate people but they're just insecure about themselves. It just takes patience, time and understanding from others to make them feel safe. Make the shy person feel special, appreciated and secure, and I garrentee they will open up more and more.

in basic terms little issues like a shy smile while she sees him may be greater desirable than sufficient. If she would be able to paintings up the braveness to, having a communicate with him and attending to appreciate him wont harm. Who knows, consistent with danger quickly we are able to work out a question- : What does it mean while a oftentimes shy woman starts smiling at you and being effective to you mean!? lol. good luck to her, let us know the way it is going :P

They may blush easily, advert their eyes, tilt their head, giggle a lot or smile, stammer, etc...
Usually a mix of these things..but the response of shyness usually depends on the situation. Someone may be shy to dress in public, public speaking... whereas in other areas they may not be..

Shy people can also appear snobbish at times, but it's just their own insecurities that they are trying to cover up.

Someone who is hesitant or voice stutters when they talk.
NOT someone who is quiet. There are many people who I know that are quiet and not shy. They just have no DESIRE to talk.

They don't talk much, posture hides their body, blush a lot, won't look you in the eyes, or other things that show they are holding back or nervous.
