How do I get to the restore point?

Restore point? go to start, programs, acsessories, system tools, an then click system restore and choose the date you want to restore to.

you can use the same methods as described above or you can do a complete refresh by installing your operating system(xp, mac, linux ...) from the cd or dvd you got with the computer when you purchased it. hope it helps. you would need to insert the cd/dvd, shutdown the computer and then restart and from there i would believe it would prompts would show that you will have to follow.

Give us more details..
For example... if you got an HP computer, there is an option when you turn it on, to press the F10 key i think, and you will enter to recovery mode, where you can revert the machine to its factory settings..
Every machine is different and yours may or might not have such an option.
