Yes yes yes yes yes!!!
A man after my own broken heart. Goshh I was in denial for a long time after they closed. I remember vacationing in KS when I saw on TV they were closing them. It left that much of an impact. It was closed before I got back to get there one last time.
I still buy their salsa at the store, but not the same *sighhhh*

OMG YES! I was totally in love with their chicken enchiladas with the mushroom sauce, and then it closed... I drove past it the other day and it was nothing more than a whole in the ground and an empty parking lot, but I was heading to Olive Garden (right after they closed Chi-Chi's they closed the Steak and Shake, Olive Garden replaced them since there are is free refills on the soup either alone or with a meal *drools*). So... I take it they are all gone now? That is sad... I liked their garden salsa, too. *sits in a corner and cries*

My family and I used to love to go to Chi-Chi's. What ever happened to them anyway? It seems like all the good restaurants are either gone or going. I just hope that Olive Garden isn't next!

I miss their fried ice cream. Nobody does it as good as they did.
It was green onions and a Hepatitis A outbreak that killed Chi Chi's (and 4 people, 660 were infected) for anyone who doesn't know.

never actually ate there. Being Mexican, we were always hesitant to try it because of the name which is Mexican slang for women's breasts. we figured the food couldn't be good because it was either run by some really perverted Mexicans or non-Mexican's who didn't know better and therefore couldn't possibly authentic. Lots of people seem to miss it so maybe we missed out. : )

My daughter absolutely love Chi-Chi's! I couldn't stand the place. There's just something about getting a plate full of "brown" food. It looked extremely unappetizing and didn't taste much better. I like Don Pablos much better.

OH MY GOD! I have not heard that name in years! We used to go to one in South Bend, Indiana. It was a blast! And they embarressed the hell out of you on your birthday by making you wear the biggest sumbrero in the world! Do you remember that? Hell yeah I miss them! And their fried ice cream too!
