It can also mean "right hand screw" as in the right hand screw rule, used when computing the cross product of vectors. For A X B = C, the direction of C is the direction that a RHS would move if A is rotated toward B.

For example: 3 = 4x+1
LHS is "3", RHS is "4x+1".
I don't know why mathematicians get lazy about writing out "left hand side" but they do.
