I wouldn't book through any of the broker sites like Orbitz or Hotels.com until you check hotel sites directly. I booked directly through the hotel website where I stayed and I watched the site every couple of days. Whenever the rate dropped, I called and asked for the lower rate. By the time I went the room was over $30 cheaper per night than when I originally booked it. I was so proud of myself.

If you refine your answer a bit we can help you better.

Are you looking for very inexpensive (but still good quality)? Then you can get great deals but they wont be on the strip. Most visitors want to be on the strip if possible though. But the best hotel deals on the strip depend a lot on the dates you have in mind. If you're flexible, you can get real bargains.

I always go directly to the hotel web sites where the best bargains are to be found.

The absolute best deal I found was on
lastminutetravel.com
Do what I did. It works!
I first went to kayak.com
Kayak.com gives you comparisons and lets you see all hotels/websites offering prices on the room you want.
I clicked on lastminutetravel.com and went to their site to book the room.
I got my room from lastminutetravel.com for $42 midweek and $140 weekend where other websites offered the same room for at least $20 more midweek and $40-$80 more weekend.

Good luck & have fun!
