Call of Duty 3 is a very good game. Its graphics are incredible and the missions actually have a point unlike some games. What i like about the game is that you can switch the perspectives of each person and the storyline is great for each. For Gears of war, i don't know where to start. Its graphics are unparalleled, the gameplay is very addictive, and the guns are unbelievable my most liked is the chainsaw gun. Think of the name and you can see why. the story is incredible and the fluidity is unmatched. Personally, i think either game is a good buy but i would go with gears of war. Call of duty 3 = 4.5/5 Gears of Wa r= 5/5

Tuff call, the Call of Duty series has been fairly good in the past, but I hear Gears of War is going to be one of the best games of the season, not to mention the Call of Duty series may be getting kind of stretched thin with its 3 main games and then big red one and finest hour.

gears of war is the best game out for 360 and cod3 is the second. My reccomondation- Buy both

If you can afford it, get both as they are both excellent games. However, if you have friends you play with get Gears of War because you can play multiplayer games and play campaign Co-op. And GoW co-op on campaign is simply awesome!
But don't get me wrong you can also play CoD3 multiplayer which is also great.

Man, they're both awesome. Gears is scifi 3'rd person future, COD3 is WWII genre, realistic, FPS. I love the gritty feel of both, I love the styles of both, but they're pretty different. It comes down to personal preference, but they're both amazing!
