Well a LOT depends on the situation..... Was there something that I did to cause the situation that I could maybe fix to fix the situation... or what. BUT.... with that said and with only the two options given, I would do as she asked. Why piss her off more and kill any chance of getting back together. Better to simply say. "I understand we need to get some breathing room. Let me get some things and Ill leave and maybe we can get together for lunch in a couple days and try to talk things out."

Entirley depends on the situation. If a man loved his wife he would never just leave. A real man would also not just sit there, oblivious to the situation. He should:
evaulate the extermeties of the situation
Be very nice
Apologise with all his heart
And try to win the girl back.

Your home as in you alone own it or our home as in both names are on the mortgage?
If it was our home, I'd tell you to go p*ss up a rope.
Here's your hat, what's your hurry? Let me help you pack. And so on. And why? Because while you were watching Ellen and Oprah, I have totally fixed up our home - custom patio cover, waterfall spa, 2 big screen plasmas, new brushed nickel door handles and hinges throughout ($1,000 right there, and I installed them all), wine refrigerators, custom bar, ceiling fans, wireless network, artwork, new kitchen ($42,000 right there), recessed lighting with crown moulding, and so on - and I did almost all my own labor. No way in HELL you are going to put your hands on your chubby hips and take that attitude with me and tell me to get out of *my* house. You can shove that egg right back up the chicken.
If it's your house alone, he should get off his a s s and leave at once.

As a gentlemen, I would leave without question...not a word would be spoken. I wouldn't say good bye, just stand up and leave, there are too many fish in the sea to worry about this one

depends.....
if I am just over at her house visiting, I'd get up, say PFFFFT, your loss and walk out and never turn back.
if I lived there, was on the rent agreement, etc....then I'd sit there and ponder on where I might go or where I might shove you out too. cause if I live there then by law either I or you have 30 days to vacate. even if I am not on the rent but I live there, mail comes there, then the same law applies.

A man will talk first with the woman,to know the reasons, why the relationship will be over. Then, if there is not a way out,a solution,of course he will get out of that relationship. That men do.

Most men never get this opportunity before marriage, since you used the term partner I assumed they were not married. As a long, long time married person and had this opportunity I would run as fast as my little legs would carry me. Freedom you just can't beat it. God bless America and Merry Christmas.

I'd leave if the words weren't said they wouldn't have been meant.
So get your things and find a new place to live. Only idiots don't listen to reason.
