Well I think it's more unfair to the guys to be the only ones drafted, because there are some very physically capable women out there. I mean if they draft a 5'6 guy in the military why wouldn't they draft those 6'2ft + women that play volleyball or basketball...still its not like it matters much either way, they can still join the military if that's what they want.

(1) Many foreigners (whether illegal or legal "aliens") already have fought and died for this country, perhaps at an even higher percentage comparatively than they represent of our population. Get a clue. We already pay them crap wages in the U.S., legal or not. Sure, let's send them off to die for self-absorbed whites who treat them like dirt anyway.
(2) Yes, women should be drafted as well, especially since we claim to deserve equal rights (which we do deserve). On the other hand, we plainly have not yet _achieved_ equal rights: we don't get paid as much; no woman has actually ever _been_ president in spite of being able to _run_ for president (you act like it's some kind of privilege); and perhaps 5 percent of all your "multi-billion-dollar companies" actually have female CEOs.
Women are physically capable. I worked three summers in a factory making mufflers for Honda for 50-60 hours a week. The number of men to women was about 10 to 1. I learned to weld and was on my feet for 10-hour days in sweltering heat wearing jeans and boots, staring at auto-welding robot equipment and ruining the joints of my hands. It can most certainly be done by women.
There probably would be exemptions for pregnancy in some circumstances, but women really aren't that stupid, guys. Pregnancy's a ******, and so is the kid you're stuck with for 18 years.
(3) I would rather join the military than go through nine months of morning sickness and 20 hours of labor and possibly have my uterus cut open.
(4) Millionaires and politicians should not be able to throw their money and privilege around to keep their kids out of the service. Everyone everywhere should have to take a number.

The draft is not a popular idea anyway... and during the Vietnam war there were protests, people moving to Canada and etc.
If there must be a draft however, given the changes in society and in the military, then both genders would logically be affected.
If pregnancy is established as an exemption from being drafted, then anticipate another "baby boom" that would surely bankrupt the social security, medicare and medicaid systems...

Since a draft is not needed at this time, no one should be drafted.
But Congress sets the size of the military so you have to go to them, not any president, about the conditions of a draft. They pass that law, no one else.

The draft should be forgotten. It makes more trouble then it cures.
Should it be instated then yes, women too. They fought for the pants now they should wear them.
The one thing that really should be thought of is that a conscription military has only one purpose. Invasion. A professional military is built with people that are patriots and want to serve. A conscription military is built to produce a body count.
That said. It would be wisest for the American people to band together and say NO.

The current version of the draft applies to both men and women 18-26.

Men have a lot of raw energy true, but we spend it faster than the women. Women do make as good service members as men, no doubt about it.
However, biologically it is illogical. The fact is, a people can afford to lose a lot of its men, but if the population that is able to give birth disappears, then...

If member's of the house vote on a draft...then their children should be drafted too...might make them think twice about it.

No, because you are leaving out one very important factor, women are not paid the same as a man doing the same job. Talk all you want, the equality wagon has left the building. They have the children and basically raise them.
