The auger shaft is rounded off on the drive end. You must replace the shaft and possibly the drive coupling. I hope you have a dealer near you that can supply these parts. If not take the broken parts to any machine shop and they can be repaired.
I hope you have another source of heat for the holidays.

It may have a large piece of wood stuck in the auger. Turn everything off make sure it's off before putting your hands in there. It's probably something like a large chip or just to many pieces trying to get through. Either back it up or free them.
