What are some really good acoustic/folk music? It has to have good lyrics, and good vocals and not be too boring but still quiet and calm and powerful.... is that too much? Songs, albums, artists, anything.

I love Damien Rice. :) Also, Damien Rice, Amos Lee, and John Mayer.
And I tend to stay away from old music, and perfer new up and coming artists that aren't too famous. I am a concert photographer, and love great live shows and small crowds.
And I am pretty damn picky. Haha.

Gordon Lightfoot ... these songs are my favorites.
- Pussywillows, Cattails
- Black Day in July
- Bitter Green
- Don Quixote
- Anywhere
- If You Could Read My Mind
- Song For a Winters Night
- Bossman
... many, many others .. he's an amazing lyricist.

Others that are top in the folk industry, classics in their own right, are .. Jim Croce, Roger Whitaker, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Peter Paul & Mary.

Guess you can tell I'm a Lightfoot fan, eh lol?
