i would tear the picture part of a used christmas card and on the back of it, i would use it as a postcard and mail it to a different person. saves on postage too cause you don't need an envelope.

or if I have time, I would tear the picture part of the card and glue it on a folded construction paper and inside of the construction paper I would put a christmas verse.
for the envelopes, I make them out of brown paper bags.

depending on the card I either make Christmas ornaments or gift tags with old Christmas cards. I made a collage out of a bunch of particularly pretty cards I had saved and framed it. A couple of times, I cut the part with the picture on it and put it on the front of some homemade candles. Very pretty.

NO. Big NO for me. I once dated a guy who gave me recycled cards. Eventhough he put a lot of drawings and stuff, I still can see the previous sender's name (who turned out to be his ex!) I was really turned off =( You can recycle Christmas cards if you would like to make some decors for personal use =) or just be sure that it will not turn out to be recycled when you give it to someone.

I like the recycling it into a post card--how clever!

I don't get many because I don't send any out. But the ones I get I save to make cut-outs for the family photo scrapbook.

I've thought about it, but, I don't have the time. If I did have the time I would cut out the front decorations and make tree ornaments with my nieces

Yes, I do this. I also decoupage them onto other things for Christmas ornaments or collage projects. Good ideas you listed.
