WELL WHEN I TRIED TO OPEN IT BY CLICKING ON THE DESKTOP ICON, A SMALL ERROR SCREEN POPPED UP SAYING ("THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN DAMAGED,POSSIBLY BY A BAD SECTOR OF THE HARD DRIVE OR A VIRUS.PLEASE REINSTALL IT")
THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE & I SCANNED MY COMPUTER WITH MCAFEE & IT FOUND NO VIRUSES. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG?

okay. first of all, what is DVD SANTA...??

the thing is, you mightve deleted something by accident that belonged with the program. look in your recycle bin to see if there is anything that looks like it mightve belonged with the program.

After a while files get moved around and the hard drive becomes cluttered, Program get installed by you, and other programs are uninstalled. Over time, the hard drive can become a mess and its time to clean house. Sometimes there are bad sectors of the hard drive and the as with anything else that is mechanical the Hard Drive can fail. See start - run - chkdsk (Windows XP) or scandisk (Previous versions of Windows). Once you re-install the program it should take care of the missing file. If you suspect that the Hard Drive is failing make sure you back up your data a product like EZBackup should work fine. Back ups should be often to prevent data loss. Windows XP can use Recovery to previous dates but if the drive fails this will not work. I have seen a lot of people neglect backups and the data lost is expensive to recover.
