I have already tried to tell her but all she does is blame it on something else. then she'll shutme down and start talking crap to me. what to do?

Cope with it if she's a real good friend. But if she's one of those come and go friends, kick that chick to the curb 'cause whatever her habbit is, it's just straight up nasty.

Would that be like farting and blaming it on the dog? The key word here is "friend". If it's a habit you could live with, accept it and move on.

consider that she may not be able to stop doing whatever it is and that she changes the subject out of sheer embarrassment. next time it comes up and she goes off subject, bring her back on track and tell her to please explain it to you so you can understand it, and her, better. if she still won't talk, you have to decide if its something worth ending a friendship over or something you can deal with. only you can decide that in your heart...good luck!

She's out of it alot (i think its end of the year stress) so she has a hard time carrying a conversation with a bigger group of people. Smaller group, so much fun!

If you want to stay her friend you can try ignoring it. If you are bothered that much by her habits,perhaps it's time to find some new friends.

tell someone else. i had a stinky roommate in college and had to tell the RA. you may need backup. my nostrils thanked me. that, and the lysol helped :)
