I was dead set on naming our baby (if a girl) Bella, until I told my OB & she stated more than half of the baby girls she has delivered in the past 6 months have been Bella, Isabelle or Isabella. So never the less, we are not going with that anymore!
My hubby really wants to keep up tradition with our children having Irish / Celtic names. So any help in finding one would be great! Thanks in advance

My friend's Irish husband's mother's surname was really nice:
it was Meaher. It is pronounced Ma-her. They considered respelling it to use for their son but ultimately went with another name. They thought Meaher looked and sounded too feminine. I love the name! And I doubt you will find it on any top ten lists!

Siobhan. Pronounced Sha-vawn. Morrigan. Aislinn (my fave). Brigid. Nuala (pronounced Noo-lah). Una. Regan (ree-gan). Cassidy. Moira.

Lots of beautiful names for Irish girls, I'm gonna name my girl something Irish too.

Caoimhe IS reported KEE-va / KWEE-vah, finding on accessory. What you wrote is an ignorant handle Gaelic phonetics, that have no longer something to do with English phonetics. i admire: Siobhán (she-vaughn) Róisín (ROSH-een, potential "little rose") Séarlait (shahrlot, Irish style of Charlotte) Saoirse (seer-sha, potential freedom) playstation : it quite is spelled Niamh ("neev"), no longer Naimh.

I like Neeve (rhymes with Eve, it's Irish) and Briana (my name, it's Celtic/Gaelic). I think Bella is a beautiful name, but it is becoming popular. Good luck!
