In a way I don't think it ever does, but I suppose that being serious can become too serious when someone isn't able to relax or comprehend anything anymore. When you're not able to have fun anymore, then you're being too serious. That's been my experience.....

Its up to the person. Its an individuals own right to know when things are too serious.

Seriousness by it’s self is a emotional tool that if improperly used can splinter the unyielding heart. Used with Love patience and humility you become a salve to conscience offending none.

I don't think there is such a thing.Some people are just more serious than others.My definition of serious might not be the same as yours.

I guess when one takes things too seriously. I'm a pretty light hearted person in general, but there are times when I just tell people to just..."lighten up"...sheesh. : )
