Very hard. That's the point of it to protect the brain.. I mean the thigh bone itself is as strong as steel.. (or stronger than steel- I forget which one it is)
It's quite thick.. Also your diet as a child and now must contain alot of calcium- That's why your bones are so strong or else they'd be brittle and weak.

on average you have over a inch of fat around your brain and the skull is as thick as steel, its there to protect the one thing that make the body live
