i cannot paly the Em chord properly.. is thre a technique to play it?and also what is a choke?

Try this....place your index finger on the 5th string, second fret. Then place your middle finger on the 4th string, second fret.
And although I have played guitar for many years, I don't know what a choke is, unless it is the deadening of the strings (using your hand) right after playing a string or chord.

from the top of your fret board its 2nd string second fret and 3rd string second fret and 4th string 1st fret , choke- dont let the note ring, good luck!
