I call it what it is. If it's Thanksgiving, I say "Happy Thanksgiving". If it's Christmas, I say "Merry Christmas". I hate political correctness. HATE IT!!

If I'm caught off guard with a Christmastide salutation, I usually respond with a hearty " Merrrrrrrrrrrrrry Christmas to you!". If I forsee the salutation, I respond " Hey, Have a good Christmas". Christmas makes me jumpy and over enthusiastic.

Thank you and the same to you.

But why can't I just say "Merry Christmas?" Argh, sometimes you must say "Happy Holidays."

However, this upsets me. I feel that freedom of religion means you should also be able to say "Christmas" when you want to b/c you choose not to leave Christ out of it.
