Any Good PS2 Game Reccomendations?

I was just wondering if anyone had any reccomendations for any PS2 games (or Xbox) that are worth playing. I especially like RPG games, platform games, and action/adventure games. :)

i liked la pucelle tactics for ps2 - it's a strat-rpg (think, final fantasy tactics). disgaea and phantom brave, as well as disgaea 2 are all in this genre

ogre battle: march of the black queen is a type of war time strategy based on a fantasy world - it looks like crap, by today's standards, but the battle, engine, and character engines were pure genius. a single battle can last from 2 to 5 hours. although you can save at any time, you'll never want to!

ps2 just recently got a new game called sega genesis collections. it has all the golden axe games, comix zone, vectorman, sonic and sonic2, and phantasy star II, III, and IV on it. only thing that it's missing is the streets of rage series, but rumors say that would have been too much awesome to put in a small game disc

xenogears, the ps1 game, has an engaging story, shame the battle system gets boring midway through the game.

If you like RPG games, you can't go wrong with Final Fantasy on the PS2. FF Dirge of Cerebrus dosen't let you customize your character much at first, but you do level him up and add weapons etc. Another good franchise to get is the Baldurs Gate series. Their stories and gameplay are very good. If you like Star Wars, you need to get Knights of the Old Republic I and II.

As far as platform games go the best ever in my opinon is Sonic the Hedgehog. Not the 3D versions, those blow, but the older 2D side scrolling ones like Sonic I, II, and III are very good.

One of the best action adventure games on the PS2 is Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. It's like starring as Indy in your own movie. You even get to make him punch, grab and throw the bad guys like in the movies. You can whip the guns out of the bad guys hands and use the whip to swing across canyons. It has the classic music and looks of the movies too.

for cityroam rpg try gta or bully (nice one! )
for dual battle i agree with tenkaichi 2 or mortal kombat armageddon..
for real rpg please try FF XII
for touring/race i say gran tourismo 4...
you should try mushasi 2 also...
