There sure is an afterlife...everyone's got 2 choices: heaven or hell.
Heaven is where the Lord is and there, we lose our burden of sin (bad things) and physical impairment forever. In hell, we burn and are tortured forever, with an eternal overbearing feeling of guilt and shame. These are no fantasies - this is the truth! - so don't think I'm making this up.

There is a God out there and He is holy, just (fair), perfect, and the creator of this universe. He created humans - the first two were Adam and Eve - and they basically were given a choice to obey or disobey God. They disobeyed by eating the forbidden fruit, allowing sin to enter the world. It has been passed down to everyone after them, and so every single human being has sin.

Sin is disobedience to God; everything bad that happens is a result of sinful human nature. The punishment for sin is death and eternal punishment; there is nothing whatsoever that we can do about it. Unfortunately, because God is perfect, He can't allow sinful people into heaven with Him, and they have to go to hell when they die. This is true for every single individual, YOU INCLUDED!!! Everybody's hearts are all completely wicked, no matter how good we might seem on the outside.

But, God loved us and sent someone to die for us instead so we could get a ticket to heaven...His son, Jesus Christ. Jesus (I'm sure you've heard of Him) was perfect, because He was God made flesh...100% man, and 100% God. He never sinned, yet God sent Him to take the brutal punishment reserved for us. He died on a cross after being beaten and bloodied up cruelly by us humans, who rejected everything He said because it went against our nature. But Jesus resurrected from the dead 3 days later, forever conquering death, and ascending directly into heaven where He is now!!!

So if you confess that you are a sinner, and are truly sorry for your sin, and you believe with all your heart that Jesus rose from the dead, God will save you from your original fate and you'll be able to go to heaven when you die! But if you never truly repent, or you are neutral/careless about it, you will still go to hell. Forever.

I warn you, hell is hottest for those who hear the gospel and still don't repent. Your very soul depends on this message. Souls are eternal...how do you want to spend your eternity?

God bless!

Hey 3Days

Reality Check. The greatest percentage of people are creating their experience from an imbalanced consciousness - extreme feminine/victim/passive - permission seeking position or extreme masculine/perpetrator - aggressive position. Each of these positions is further filtered thru a mentality of Helplessness - self-deceit-denial and self hatred...Using these strategies unconsciously, they are experiencing their own private UNREALITY. What are they thinking ? They are not. The screen of their mind bears images directly related to whatever their religion - TV - Radio - News Media - Gov't - Peer group presents to them. They are passive on all issues ,virtually. Lights are on...Nobody is home.

I think that when you die, your spirit floats above so that you can serve the lord and watch over the people that you knew when you are alive. And you would never get hurt again when your gone. I think that the main thing you have to do to get in to heaven is believe in him, respect him, and love him

Heaven is an afterlife concept found in many religions or spiritual philosophies.

Those who believe in heaven generally hold that it (or Hell) is the afterlife destination of many or all humans. In unusual instances, humans have had, according to many testimonies and traditions, personal knowledge of Heaven. They presume this is for the purpose of teaching the rest of humanity about life, deities and notions of the afterlife.

While there are abundant and varied sources for conceptions of Heaven, the typical believer's view appears to depend largely on his particular religious tradition. Various religions have described Heaven as being populated by angels, demons, gods and goddesses, and/or heroes (especially in Persian Zoroastrianism and subsequently Greek mythology). Heaven is generally construed as a place of happiness, sometimes eternal happiness.

In ancient Judaism, the belief in Heaven and afterlife was connected with that of Sheol (mentioned in Isaiah 38:18, Psalms 6:5 and Job 7:7-10). Some scholars asserted that Sheol was an earlier concept, but this theory is not universally held. One later Jewish sect that maintained belief in a Resurrection of the dead was known as the Pharisees. Opposed to them were the Sadducees who denied the doctrine of Resurrection (Matt. 22:23). In much of Christianity, heaven is a return to the pre-fallen state of humanity, a second and new Garden of Eden, in which humanity is reunited with God in a perfect and natural state of eternal existence. Christians believe this reunion is accomplished through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ in having died for the sins of humanity on the cross.

In Eastern religions (and some Western traditions), with their emphasis on reincarnation and moksha (liberation), the concept of Heaven is not as prominent, but it still is present. In Buddhism, for example, there are several heavens, all of which are still part of Samsara (illusionary reality). Those who accumulate good karma will be reborn[1] in one of them. However, their stay in the heaven is not eternal — eventually they will use up their good karma and will undergo a different rebirth into another realm, as humans, animals, or other beings. Because Heaven is temporary and part of Samsara, Buddhists focus more on escaping the cycle of rebirth and reaching enlightenment (Bodhi). In the native Chinese Confucian traditions Heaven (Tian) is an important concept, where the ancestors reside and from which emperors drew their mandate to rule in their dynastic propaganda, for example. In Hindu belief, likewise, heaven—called Swarga loka—is seen as a transitory place for souls who did good deeds but whose actions are not enough for moksha or merging (union) with Brahman.[citation needed]

The popular belief of most faiths is that one enters heaven at the moment of death. This, however, is not part of the doctrine of all of Christianity (see Swedenborgianism for a Christian related religion that does have this doctrine). Some of Christianity along with other major religions maintain that entry into Heaven awaits such time as, "When the form of this world has passed away."

Two related and often confused concepts of heaven in Christianity are better described as the "resurrection of the body", which is exclusively of Biblical origin, as contrasted with "the immortality of the soul", which is also evident in the Greek tradition. In the first concept, the soul does not enter heaven until the last judgement or the "end of time" when it (along with the body) is resurrected and judged. In the second concept, the soul goes to a heaven on another plane immediately after death. These two concepts are generally combined in the doctrine of the double judgement where the soul is judged once at death and goes to a temporary heaven, while awaiting a second and final physical judgement at the end of the world

I think "summer fling" has it down! Heaven is a place so wonderful it's a challenge to describe. To me it will strongly resemble Willoughby from a story by Rod Serling.......

They fail to mention that more than one belief system has a heaven, stolen from the idea of the idea of the elysian fields and other myths. Just like hades became hell.

Heaven is just going "HOME".
Nothing is required to get there. Don't you want your children to come home after a long day at play?

I don't believe in heaven.I believe that after you die,you are reincarnated. This world is as close to heaven (or hell) as you are going to get. When you do a good thing, good things will happen to you.If you do bad things, bad things will happen to you.You are the one that decides whether or not you will make this lifetime a heaven or a hell. The actions that you make in this lifetime will also mold how good or bad your next lifetime will be.
