I would like to know about black ants do they bite if so please i've got bit by one what would the illness be?

its red ants that bite, and ants arent strong enuf to bite all the way thru the skin lol so u cant get diseases from them, you just feel a lil sting

black ants are commonly known as carpenter ants, they will bite however their bite is mild compared to red ants aka fire ants. As far as illness is concerned unless your allergic to ants there should be no illness. If you have a carpenter ant problem in your home exterminate them asap. They can do alot of damage to your home. But on the flip side you wont have to worry about to many termites :)...yes the little black ants are carpenter ants also

Yes black ants do bite and red ants sting. You cannot get a disease from any one of these ants. However, the fire ant can cause death if enough sting you, however, these are mainly present only in the southern states.

carpenter ants are large black ants and not little black ants.
The most common black ants are the garden ants, they are attracted to sweets and they dont bite
