Gee, thats a tough question. I have seen doctors ,lawyers, and computer techies who have periods of being "in-between-jobs" and wondering where they can find their next jobs.

I will take the easy way out and say that it all depends on your luck and connection and the right timing for a really good job to open up at the same time you are looking for one.

Great paying jobs can happen to be available by chance and with luck and with prayers so go ahead and study for at least one of those careers.

May the force be with you.. Godspeed, good luck and god bless.

In the long run, being a doctor is the most lucrative, but you really have to want it bad.

I'm an engineer so I have been making decent money for about 10 years. My friend is a doctor. He opened his medical practice a couple of years ago. The first few years after we graduated I was making more than him, but he's making a lot more than me now.

But I have been getting 8 hrs of sleep daily for the past 10 years. He has probably averaged 4-5 and I hardly ever talk to him. Lately he's been working 16-20 hour days.

Being a Software Architect, I know how fulfilling software development is and depending upon which Software and tools you use can be very lucrative (SAP is paying very well at the moment and I missed the boat DOH - The MSc I completed last year is running a SAP module this year !).

I believe the only job though that you may never be out of work is to be an undertaker in a funeral parlour. Death and Taxes are the only two things in life that are guaranteed.

Hope this helps !

Engineer is like 50K out of faculty, surgeon is 150K with intense debt, criminal expert varies notably. (all of them selection, those are customary) criminal expert pays nicely in case you pass into own injury or get on at a huge regulation employer, in any different case criminal expert will in many circumstances initiate under the engineer point (with lots bigger upside, nonetheless). criminal expert-engineer pays alright (greater suitable than surgeon), or criminal expert-surgeon pays very alright (greater suitable than criminal expert-engineer). you verify, yet i opt to propose you do what you like and permit something style itself out. you will do nicely financially interior the long-term in any of those occupations.
